Tour Description
Sydney is an ever-changing city that reinvents itself constantly. As a result the food culture of the city is also a never-ending evolution, with new food precincts, reinvented eateries and vibrant bars.
Our 6 hour tour of 4 of Sydney’s newest precincts takes us on a walking excurison to indulge in the food, drink, art, and culture that makes each region unique.
We visit The Cannery which was once an industrial building housing the Rosella Soup Factory. Now it has been converted into a foodie heaven with restaurants, a coffee roaster, a bakery, home wares and much more. Enjoy paleo treats at 80/20 Paleo, shared signature plates at Three Blue Ducks, gin tasting at Sydney's premier distillery Archie Rose.
Moving on, we head to Barangaroo, transformed in recent years from a disused container terminal and occasional cruise ship port into a spectacular waterfront precinct. The 'wharfies' (or stevedores) have been replaced with a curated dining and shopping precinct. We'll take a gentle wander through the precinct and a guided tour as we indulge our tastebuds. Here we taste some shared plates with a complimentary drink at a 'secret' venue.
The Rozelle Tramway Depot, originally built in 1904 and recently resotred is now known as the Tramsheds. Here we find a band of providores who share a love of food, education and community. Experience tastes of Craft Beer or Cider at Butcher and Farmer Restaruant, paired with specialty dishes.
Our last destination is Kensington Street, once housing the Carlton United brewery, and now converted to award winning high-rise called Central Park and known for its lush vertical gardens and creative businesses, cafes, bars, restaurants and galleries. Indulge in tempting Asian Street food samples at Spice Alley, and wine tasting at our elegant final venue.
