Tour Description
See the real Australia! Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and experience the open paddocks, dams and Australian bush at one of Sydney’s most stunning regions.
Travel over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
During summer months pick stone fruits (November to January only) and even take home your very own picks (own expense).
On arrival at Tobruk you will be greeted by an Australian stockman on horseback. Relax at Drovers Camp and learn how to make Damper and Billy Tea over the campfire. Enjoy your morning tea of freshly made damper with butter and Golden Syrup.
Learn about the history of Tobruk and the life of a stockman. Get up close and personal with the sheep and lambs as they are driven to you from far away paddocks. Watch the stockmen and their dogs demonstrate a sheep muster. Take part in a sheep shearing demonstration followed by a wool room presentation. Enjoy a tractor ride. Watch a boomerang throwing and whip cracking display by the skilful stockmen.
Enjoy authentic Aussie BBQ lunch at the Drover's Camp and perhaps have a drink at the Stockman’s Bar.
Continue your journey through this picturesque region travelling on to beautiful Tizzana Winery. Here you will taste their white and red wines and sample cheese & biscuits. After your wine tasting, continue on to see Australia's oldest church - Ebeneza Church. This historical church was built in 1809.
Before returning to Sydney a stop will be made in the old colonial town of Windsor, overlooking the Hawkesbury River. Enjoy afternoon tea in one of the many cafes (own expense) or browse through the boutique.
